The Baldwin County ARC will participate in the Boy Scouts' "Jamboree on the Air (JOTA)" coming up the third weekend in October (Oct 19-21). They will operate from Camp Maubila which is located just north of Jackson, AL and south of Grove Hill (Clarke County) on US Hwy 43. Operations will be on all bands 80-10 meters and also VHF/UHF on 6/2/440, mostly on SSB (FM on 2m/440), but there will be some QSOs made on CW and digital modes (probably PSK31 and FT8).
They plan to set up antennas on Friday, October 19, and probably do some on-the-air tests that afternoon/evening. Primary operations will be conducted on Saturday, October 20th, and maybe some operations the morning of Sunday, October 21st.
